Light Quest · Learn & practise
Explore an idea.
Explain what happens.
Light Quest brings chapter quests, hands-on labs, revision and answer practice together. Choose the P5 or Sec 1 (G2) learning track, then a chapter.
16 Primary chapters covering P3–P6 concepts · 7 Sec 1 (G2) chapters. View available courses →

- 01
Explore the concept
Read the chapter notes and try its lab. Predict a result, change one thing and see what happens.
- 02
Practise your answer
Work through a quest or practise explaining the science. Compare your reasoning with the model answer.
- 03
Review and revisit
Use saved progress and revision notes to choose what to practise next. Guided Learn practice helps revisit concepts.
P5 End-of-Year papers are also available in Exam Mode. These are P5 practice papers, separate from the planned dedicated PSLE course.
Explore, play and work out why
These lab screenshots show how children can explore a concept for themselves. Build, adjust and try again: each change is a chance to ask what happened and why. Select an image to open the full-size screenshot.

Explore light and shadows
Move torches and objects, compare overlapping shadows and follow the light rays. Predict how a shadow changes when the setup moves.

Build a mixed circuit
Combine series bulbs and parallel branches, change the batteries and compare which bulbs light and how brightly.

Shape a roller-coaster track
Change the starting height, hills and friction. Follow the ball and compare potential, kinetic and heat energy as it moves.

Investigate a heating curve
Heat ice and watch the temperature graph. Explore what happens during warming, melting and boiling.

Each chapter moves from first ideas to a timed Boss stage. Explorer builds the basics; Challenger unlocks harder, exam-style questions.
▤Revision within reach+
Revision notes and concept cards use syllabus wording and are one tap away from a question.
◷Speed rounds+
Timed, exam-style multiple-choice practice builds exam stamina, with a best score kept for each course.

New: Answer Writing
Practise reading the question, choosing an answer shape and explaining the science.
Frame-it questions cover 16 Primary Science chapters and 7 Secondary 1 chapters.
Read the Question
Explain why the bulb goes off.
Spot the question word: “state” asks for a fact, “explain” needs cause and effect, and “compare” needs both sides. Use the marks as a guide to how many separate points the answer needs.
Answer Writing cards cover ten Primary skills and six Secondary skills. Fourteen cards include drills, including Read the Question. Science words and Name the object are practised through Examiner tasks.
Open Answer Writing · sign in to practise →A useful view for parents
Open Parent view from the Family section of the learning menu after signing in. Review chapter progress and answer-writing practice together, then choose one area to revisit.
Written answers from the Circuit Lab Exam Desk are available in the report. This written-answer feature is available in the Circuit Lab today and is planned for more chapters.

Use what you discovered
Questions follow the exploration. Apply what you learnt in the labs to a new setup, trace the steps and explain your reasoning. Select an image to open the full-size screenshot.

Choose switches for a target result
Work out which switches must close so that only the requested bulbs light. Trace complete paths through the circuit before answering.

Build a multi-step energy chain
Trace energy from the Sun through stored energy in coal, heat, a spinning turbine and the electricity produced by a generator.
